We ended up having 300 people attend our Christmas Tree Lighting on November 30th! This was a great project combining a lot of school and community groups.
Calewarts trees were cut and dragged out of the gulley by DHS wrestlers. Mrs. Handrich's class built the tree stands after researching designs and prices. They built the stands from 2 X 4s, used tools in the Tech Ed department to build them and placed each of the 26 trees in them. Denmark Village employees helped make sure all of the trees were stable and ready to go!
The night was a huge success! Community business provided treats and all the lights lit up the Trailhead at 6pm on Saturday night. The trees looked great and we are so grateful to give back from the DHS FFA and StingCancer clubs.
